PlateForge Barbell Math is a visual barbell-loading and warm-up-ramp engine for powerlifters, strongman athletes, Olympic lifters, and strength coaches who need to know instantly which plates go on the bar, in what order, and how to ramp safely to a heavy single. Instead of mental math or scribbled plate math on a whiteboard, the app renders an actual color-coded barbell on screen, built from the lifter's real plate inventory, and auto-generates percentage-based warm-up ladders, competition attempt plans, and session history, all tuned to IPF/IWF calibrated-plate conventions.

PlateForge Barbell on iPhone and iPad.
Visual barbell loader: enter a target weight and bar type (men's 20kg, women's 15kg, trap bar, safety-squat bar, technique bar), see an actual rendered barbell with correctly stacked, color-coded plates per side
Inventory-aware plate math: toggle exactly which plate pairs you own (kg or lb, standard or calibrated), and the app computes the closest achievable load using only your real plates, flagging any gap from the exact target
Warm-up ramp generator: input a working weight and number of ramp sets, get an auto-calculated percentage ladder (e.g. bar/40/55/70/85%) with a mini plate diagram and rest-timer suggestion for every step
Competition attempt planner: lock three attempts for squat, bench, and deadlift, enter opener percentage and jump strategy, and see each attempt rendered as a loaded bar with the kg/lb jump between attempts
Progression charts: log session top sets over time per lift and view trend lines and personal-best markers using Swift Charts, filterable by lift and date range
Session history log: every loaded session is saved locally with date, lift, final plate combination, and notes, browsable as a filterable timeline
